My take on Billy Meier - A legendary figure of our times

Posted by Harvey Kong Tin - September 03, 2020 6:12 PM

It was some decades ago that I first came into the info about Billy Meier.  I think it was the book Light Years by Gary Kinder that got me started.  I thought it was all very interesting and worthwhile to follow up on.  But then I watched a so-called documentary, which presented the view that Billy Meier faked his photos by use of a split view lens, that allows you to photograph near and far objects in sharp focus.  This is the usual kind of explanation of how he got his UFO photos with trees done - with the use of miniatures as such.  My interest in still photography agreed that this was possible.

This turned me off Billy Meier and I didn't continue with reading more information about him.  But a decade or so later - I came across Billy Meier info once again - and read further about him.  There is a lot of information about him and it takes a while to take most of it in.

It turns out that Billy Meier doesn't have a strong interest in the technical side of still photography.  That he always went for cameras of the point and shoot variety and would not be familiar with the techniques used in faking good photographs.  Plus he was a one armed man - and he went to the places where he took his UFOs on his moped - and was not seen to be setting up his camera equipment to orchestrate faking UFO photos.  He was not seen to be carrying extra equipment with him to do such a thing.  And he was never in an ideal location to do such a thing.  Remote locations off the side of a mountain.  His Olympus 35ECR camera was damaged such that it was stuck with it's focusing ring.  He would take photos in series - of the craft approaching, staying for a photo shoot, then departing.

While he appeared as a candidate in a documentary titled something like the Worlds Top 10 Hoaxes - the person who appeared and talked about him - is one of Billy Meier's constant critics.  But this guy has a known reputation of being a liar with no credible credentials. Why didn't the program check this guy out?  Billy Meier is no cult leader - is not interested in amassing a hoard of money. He appears to be a simple kind of person in which honesty is paramount.  He cannot be likened to a typical leader of any cult.

He has released a lot of information over the decades.  Unlike Channelers, psychics and the like - he gives out detailed information that he could easily be caught out on.  On various sensitive subjects - he'll stay quiet or give out very little.  He does say Apollo 11 was faked (by Disney staff) and Apollo 13's mission was successful - to land where Apollo 11 landed and leave behind what they did - in order to preserve the integrity of Apollo 11's mission.  Something that occurred to me - whether Apollo missions were genuine or not?  Is that any communication to Earth (specifically telephone? calls) would involve a delay - and if there was no significant delay (echo) involved - then it wasn't a call to the Moon involved but somewhere much much closer.)

Meier says a lot of sensible info.  Like that overpopulation is a serious problem - that we need to reduce our world population voluntarily.  That deep mining for oil has disastrous consequences - this makes sense when you consider the mass that is taken away - which should weaken that area, making earthquakes far worse off, and even creating earthquakes in areas that did not have them.  So the great oil producers (not a sensible term to use, considering they don't produce oil at all - but simply extract it from a finite source) will become the worse earthquake prone areas of the world.

He does clearly say what info is false.  The likes of George Adamski being a UFO contactee - not.  Feng Shui is simply rubbish.  While reincarnation is what we do - karma does not apply.  (This is likely to be the case - if you go along with - the simpler explanation best fits - than an overly complicated one).  That what Stitchin writes about - is not valid.  If it is about a wandering planet that enters our solar system - I can't believe it could carry life on it because of the coldness of space - and being away from the warmth of a Sun - how would it work?  There are more problems involved than answers.

I do think you have to question what Meier writes - and be wary of what is given.  We always need confirmation if something is true or not?  And it has to make some kind of sense logically.  We always have to question - in order to understand things better.  Without questioning - you are taking it on all trust.  And trust doesn't give you an understanding of the universe.  The devil is in the details - is so rightfully true.  If the details do not support the main idea then it doesn't add up - does not seem to be genuine.

If you want to read up on Billy Meier - then a good site to start on is www.futureofmankind.co.uk

It is not an official site - but figu.org is.

The official spokesperson for him is Michael Horn.

One person to avoid is Randolph Winters info - as it's not regarded as being reliable.  Details from him may not be so accurate.

Billy Meier is not in the same category of channelers and the like.  He has had his UFO contacts since his youth - while he had psychic ability, this was enhanced due to an operation by ETs - presumably so that it will be stronger and clearer for their contacts which will last throughout his life.  There are thousands of pages of information (in German) that cover a whole range of subjects in detail.  He does exceed that of the sleeping prophet - Edgar Cayce - and should be considered the prophet of our times.

He does cover a lot in the way of Spiritual Teachings as such - and about much the same material that is covered on this site.  But I'll confess that I haven't read nor understood that particular area he does cover, well at all.  He states plainly that which is false, and the false information that many take for granted as being legit.

For example - he says that the Chakras do not exist, that Feng Shui is likewise made up - that it's not 'real' at all.  I do not know the full list of what he says is false, incorrect, etc.  You need to check this out for yourself.  So do not take it for granted - that say - acupuncture, faith (self) healing, etc.  are all included also.

The human imagination is a powerful thing - and sadly many people engage in this aspect without rechecking details to verify information out.  We do need to exercise critical thinking all of the time so as not to blur the lines between reality and fiction.  Sadly religions get past all of this - by repeating the same thing over and over again ad nauseum - and I think people give up trying (resisting) realizing that they simply have to put up with it (them).
